ISSUED AT 08:43 SUNDAY MARCH 29

GENERAL SYNOPSIS

WINTRY BURST. • Powerful high 1055 far south of Iceland, drifting towards British Isles. Polar air mass sliding along it’s southeast flank, not actually much unstable and humid. Resulting cold front will trigger anecdotal precipitation upon crossing over the Alpine Range in the afternoon, which may continue as isolated shower until Monday morning. Snow flurries will flutter about in the upper valley towards the evening, and occasionally towards 1000 m during the night. • That anticyclone will begin to weaken on Monday, although extending a ridge toward the Alps, and this will run out cold air income on Tuesday. • Further outlook features protective extension of Mediterranean high pressure component up to Northern Alps.
